Luke 2.25-27 – When we come to our last reference to the Spirit in the Christmas story, we find ourselves in the Temple and in the presence of the devout Simeon. He utters words that amaze and trouble Mary, but point to the fact that Mary is merely the vehicle through whom God will bring His Son into the world, who will bless all people, not just his earthly mother.
