Lk 1.41, 67 – Our attention this week turns to Elizabeth and Zacharias, two ordinary saints, whom the Spirit filled to proclaim the coming Messiah. They stand in for the coming Christian church, where all believers have the Spirit. When the Spirit fills, God’s people speak of the glorious gospel in Jesus Christ.
