Acts 21.30
Our text has a phrase that seems innocuous enough on casual reading, “they dragged him out of the temple, and immediately the doors were shut.” This describes the arrest of the apostle Paul in Jerusalem. Curiously, this is the last time in the New Testament where anyone is described inside the temple… and they shut the doors on him. Our message considers what that means and compares it to God’s judgement of Israel in Old Testament times.
