1 Peter 3.3-4
We continue in Peter’s teaching to Christian wives. These verses are well known “adorning” verses that some have taken to be an attack on extravagant adornment. Though excess may not find Peter’s approval, the passage instead focuses on the spiritual life. Christianity is not an external religion, it is an internal religion which ultimately shapes the external life. This message focuses on adorning the life with a spirit that worships God in heart and deed.
