1 Peter 1.20-21
The second motivation for godly living is God’s plan of salvation. Though known by God before creation, the plan went into operation in God’s timing so that we could benefit. We are in God’s plan, though undeserving. We fear, we imitate his holiness, we focus our hope on the grace that will come when Jesus returns.
