Luke 18.9-14 – The question before us is, how to live among sinners who often do displeasing things? As we answer, we look at two notorious sinners, the Pharisee and the publican. We realize that we, too, are sinners like them. The only way to match the Lord’s compassion for sinners is to humble ourselves like the publican and ask for mercy. If we maintain that mindset, we can effectively minister the gospel to some others (thought not all will hear).
