Dt 21.1-23 – This chapter highlights an important concept, the effect of sin in the land, requiring atonement before God will hear prayers. The chapter closes with the laws concerning a rebellious son, but we show that his offense must have been far more serious than merely being incorrigible. Most likely such a son engaged in idolatry, which stained the land grievously.
