Deuteronomy 9.1-29 – The topic of this chapter carries on into chapter 10. In ch. 9, Moses rehearses the history of their disobedience with the golden calf and his intercession. This story underscores the statement that God will not give them the land because of their righteousness, but because of his promise. We learn that God has bought us as well, and we must live wholly dependent on grace.
