We are doing an extended book review of the book by Tedd and Margy Tripp, Instructing a Child’s Heart. In one chapter, the emphasis is engaging the heart of the child, not just controlling the behaviour of the child. This is the key to a truly growing spiritual life. Every Christian needs to have a heart touched by God and growing in grace. Only then can they effectively instruct others, including their children. It starts with a Scripture saturated life, it continues when the individual responds to the Word and the Spirit, allowing real growth to take place.
