New Testament Prophecy
Revelation 17 reveals the judgement of the great harlot, Babylon as representative of the one-world religious system of the end times. We note that this view is interpretive and that there are descriptions here that we can’t understand from our perspective “before the fact.” Nevertheless, we grasp enough to identify what God intends to do as he brings to a culmination the freedom man has to rebel against him. This chapter is a parenthesis, preceding the revelation of the second coming in chapter 19.
