Acts 21.20-26
When Paul reached Jerusalem, the elders encouraged him to participate in a Jewish ritual to defuse charges from some that Paul was anti-Jewish. He agreed, in keeping with his previous practice and stated philosophy in 1 Cor 9. “All things to all men.” From this we apply the principle that we should accept cultural norms that don’t contradict God’s commands so we can remove barriers that might hinder the gospel message.
