We look at various passages to consider the notion of “crowns” promised to believers in various NT contexts. The most important view of these crowns is in what they signify, rather than necessitating literal crowns on some future day. There are rewards to labour for in heaven, but we need to think of these in terms of God’s approval rather than as some mark of distinction we must have.
