Dt 22.1-12 – We planned to get through the entire chapter, but sorting out the first twelve verses occupied our whole time. The verses describe law cases that seem to have only (at best) a loose connection to each other. The key unifying idea seems to be mostly on maintaining order in society, including distinctions between the sexes. When man rebels against God, confusion results. God’s laws establish and maintain order.
