1 Cor 10.23-11.1 – Chapters 8-10 in 1 Corinthians are Paul’s response to the Corinthians who thought they understood everything about idolatry and could take a meal in the idol’s temple without engaging in idol worship. Paul argues strongly against it, but as chapter 10 closes, he deals with potential objections. His bottom line is: if you know it is food sacrificed to idols, don’t partake. We also discuss possible modern applications.
