1 Cor 10.1-22 – Chapters 8-10 in 1 Corinthians are Paul’s response to the Corinthians who thought they understood everything about idolatry and could take a meal in the idol’s temple without engaging in idol worship. Paul argues strongly against it, arguing from the deceptive qualities of the human heart, warning the Corinthians about the wickedness of the heart that could put them in spiritual unity with the demons behind idolatry.
