1 Cor 8.1-13 – Chapters 8-10 in 1 Corinthians are Paul’s response to the Corinthians who thought they understood everything about idolatry and could take a meal in the idol’s temple without engaging in idol worship. Paul argues strongly against it, first from the standpoint of the weaker brother (the one with a more sensitive conscience, not a weaker will).
