Our Sermons
The Word Received (James 1:21, Psalm 19:12-14)
Don Johnson, December 27, 2009
Part of the Christmas series, preached at a Sun AM service
Our final message in our 2009 Christmas series focuses on the last aspect of revelation - the Final Revelaton of God's Word to the world, that is, God's Word received, rooted, obeyed, and lived out by Christians in a public testimony to the World of the grace of God available in Jesus Christ. May God help us to live this life before the world today.

James 1:21
21 Therefore put away all filthiness and rampant wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. (ESV)
Psalm 19:12-14
12 Who can discern his errors?
Declare me innocent from hidden faults.
13 Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins;
let them not have dominion over me!
Then I shall be blameless,
and innocent of great transgression.
14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
be acceptable in your sight,
O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. (ESV)
