First, our study in Ps 91 from Wed, Jan 20:
Dwelling in the Shadow of the Almighty (Ps 91:1-16)
Don Johnson, January 20, 2010
The keys to understanding this Psalm are the shifts in pronoun usage, from the "I" of the Psalmist to the "you" of the recipient and finally to the divine "I" of God as the Lord affirms the promises the Psalmist has been preaching. For the believer, this psalm is a great comfort as we put our trust completely in the promises of God.

Our pastor was in the hospital this weekend. Three men stepped up and stood in the gap for him.
A Day with the Lions (Dan 6:10)
Harry Lloyd, January 24, 2010
One of our men, Harry Lloyd, stepped in for our pastor after the pastor went to the hospital unexpectedly this week end. Bro. Lloyd gave a good message encouraging a commitment to calling on the Lord instead of relying on self when we are put to the test.

Our Wednesday evening psalm last week is the only one by Moses in the Psalter. This psalm was paraphrased by Isaac Watts in the hymn from which we get the title for our lesson.

Our message from Romans 5.9 challenges the hearer to view salvation from the wrath of God as not merely our ‘escape ticket’ from doom, but as a motivation to mortify the lusts of the flesh and put off the sins of the inner man.
Free from Wrath – Rom 5.9
We continue with our look at Tyndale’s introduction to Romans. In this lesson we look at Tyndale’s summary of the first six chapters of Romans.
Our message from 1 Timothy challenges the believer to guard his good conscience in order to maintain his faith, part of successful Christian strategy in fighting the good fight.

Phil 1.1-2.18
Duncan Johnson
Our pastor’s son gave us a survey of the doctrinal section of Philippians, showing us Paul’s single driving motivation, the mindset he urges for successful Christian service (humility) and the call of God to work out this kind of salvation in our lives for the Lord.

The Gospel for Thanksgiving [Guest Speakers]
October 12, 2009
Tom Nieman
Dr. Nieman gave us a comprehensive overview of the Gospel for our Thanksgiving service. He emphasized the love of God as opposed to all other gods and the wickedness and unthankfulness of men in choosing other gods over Him. It is not that God cannot be known by men, nor that He has not been known, but that men have chosen not to know Him. Yet God’s arms are outstretched still, ready to receive those who will believe.
