Is Music Evil? (Mt 15.10-20)
The question in our title speaks to a philosophy of music. One philosophy of music says that music is amoral – it cannot be intrinsically good or evil. Another philosophy of music says that music is moral – some music is morally good, other music is morally evil (and perhaps some can be ‘neutral’). In this message we answer the question by developing this proposition: The moral nature of man is such that it is capable of good and evil: the expressions of human hearts are not neutral. Music is one such form of expression from the human heart.
